My experience in this area ranges from simple flyers to complex booklets and pocket folders with die cuts, embossing, metallic inks and spot varnishes. While so much is digital these days, there’s nothing like having a tangible piece in your hands to open, study and feel…it’s an experience. Various printing effects can highlight important information or create a more specific feel that you can’t replicate on a computer screen. The cover should be engaging and simple, letting the customer know what it’s about, while creating interest for them to read on. Copy should be informational but succinct, with headlines, sub-heads and images organized to lead them through the piece, and pertinent information emphasized.
